Horseback Long Riding Explained
Dreams of adventure are just that, why not take the next step and make the REAL!
One of the greatest challenges anyone new too long riding faces, will be learning to separate “cool stories” from actually useful information. Many people will offer you advice, and many “self-proclaimed experts” advised both us, and many of our closest friends prior to setting off on horseback adventures. This often second hand, or outdated information caused us and those in similar situations many unnecessary failures that could have easily been avoided by a bit first-hand knowledge and advice. Having made so many mistakes personally, Luísa and Peteaim to help others avoid making their own through up to date, relevant, and first hand experiences learned the hard way.
Having covered countless miles across some 40 countries on horseback surviving, extreme weather, freezing temperatures, wolves, bears, wild dogs, prairie pirates, questionable border crossings, nearby armed conflicts and crazy horses Luísa and Pete are still hungry for more adventure.
This 8-part course, made up of some 40 videos averaging 10 – 15mins each is designed to inspire others to take a journey of their own, regardless of what that may be. It is in short… everything Luísa and Pete wished they knew prior to their travels together. Pete spent years prior to meeting Luísa preparing, only to learn more in his first month on the road with than he had in the 2 years prior! Filmed over the course of 8 years in some 30 countries, it is arguably the only course of its kind to feature such unique footage and first hand opinions.

About the Authors
Luisa and Pete meet by total chance in a park in Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia and decide to ride west. Together with Luísa’s dog Jill, they ended up travelling over 15,000km, 9000km of which were on horseback through Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Hungary, Austria, and Germany. At the end of the journey they were deeply in love, and got married in a small forest clearing in the Bavarian Forest. They now travel Europe on horseback together in summer, and have created a saddlery specifically to outfit other would be horseback adventurers.
Pure, wild and honest; Luisa and Pete are just normal equestrians living out their crazy dreams. They drink, they swear, and keep it 100% real… as that’s just how they are. They don’t pretend to be anything they’re not; a dreamer and a drunk, they ran away from society with its anxieties and expectations, to just ride off into the sunset together. Living poor, happy, and totally free; a former vegan chef, a professional hunter, and a dog called Jill travelling the world on horseback. They are neither professional, nor do they look cool; proving anyone can do this, and they hope to inspire others to follow and live their dreams no matter how crazy others think they may be!
